GOLF-Black Rock Golf Course

We will be playing at Black Rock Golf Course, 20025 Mount Aetna Road, Hagerstown.  We have four tee times reserved beginning at 12:30 PM.  Individuals or teams may sign up with the conference registration.  The greens fee and cart rental is $26 per player.  Each individual will received a free driving range token for a bucket of balls.  The course has a restaurant and we encourage golfers to enjoy lunch and conversation with us.  Further details are below: Black Rock Golf Course is the newest addition to great golf in Western Maryland. This course takes you on a golf journey from its opening holes that are nestled in the Shenandoah Valley, to its spectacular back nine with scenic views of the Appalachian Mountains.

The greens at Black Rock, are bent grass, putt true and will hold a well struck approach shot. Several sets of tees on each hole make the course exciting to play for many levels of golfers.
 
Black Rock is also located minutes from historical Antietam Battlefield and nearby Harper's Ferry.

Washington County Museum of Fine Arts

In the middle of the beautiful Hagerstown City Park, the Museum is easily accessible from Interstates 70 and 81. Free admission. Plenty of free parking. Building is fully accessible to those with disabilities.

 Battle of Antietam

The Battle of Antietam was part of what is known as the Maryland Campaign of 1862. There were 23,000 soldiers killed, wounded or missing after twelve hours of savage combat on September 17, 1862. The Battle of Antietam ended the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia's first invasion into the North and led to Abraham Lincoln's issuance of the preliminary Emancipation Proclamation.  Antietam National Battlefield will observe the 150th Anniversary of the battle in September 2012.  Join us on a guided tour of the major sites of the battle!
